There are fun announcements, promos and changes coming that we get to hear first. Then its on to projects and stampin. Love that! Love the flashes on the 100s of cameras going cRaZy every time a project is shown on the jumbo trons!!
and then Donna Griffith comes out to demo a few projects herself. And what!?! She has a new tool?? How about this......every time we intro a new tool we should do a "happy dance." If you are a SU Facebook fan then you saw this too..........
FLASH MOB!!!
FLASH MOB!!!
and Donna was GOOD!! It was hysterical!
After a brief General Session we broke for lunch (which I forgot to snap a picture of but it was great), Break-Out classes and Fair Share.
The classes are great! Tons of info from those top demos, dishing out all the great tips and tricks and yes, of course, more stampin! I really loved Dawn (of Dawn's Stampin Thoughts) and Dawn Olchefske (of Do Stampin with Dawn.) They were great, as all the others were too, but I especially loved those.
After a fun Day 1, we broke for dinner on our own and a bit more site seeing. We decided that this night would be a great night to hop on the Riverwalk boat, because the weather was beautiful. We were right!! It was the right night to do that. Why? Because the town was decorated to the nines for a HUGE festivity. Turns out they were filming a episode of Extreme Home Makeover right then, right there in San Antonio. Here we are boating right though the middle of the audience.
Now, I am a little disappointed that I didnt get to see Ty Pennington but I heard other SU demo did!
Isn't that beautiful. There were soliders everywhere and it was so sweet and emotional....and I dont even know what the story is behind the episode is yet. I will have to remember to watch for it next Christmas!
Someday I hope to bring the fam back here. They would love it.........
