I have also received many comments and emails asking for the tutorial. I am not ignoring you, I promise. The holidays got me a bit side-tracked. But I made it priority #1 yesterday when I got a few moments of stampin' (or punchin') time. So here you go. Enjoy!
(1) 1 3/8 Circle in Red
(1/2) 1 3/8 Circle in White
(1) Boho Flower in Black
(1) Boho Flower in Red
(1) sm Heart in Saffron
(1) sm Heart in Black
(2) circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in White
Cut punch pieces according to the picture and assemble. Use your Black Marker and White Gel Pen for the eyes.
(1) 1 3/8 Circle in Olive
(1) sm Oval in Olive
(2) Boho Flowers in Black
(2) Circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in White
(3) Circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in Olive
Cut punch pieces according to the picture. On one Boho flower I cut out two scallops in the shape of tear drops and on the other Boho flower I cut them in the shape of paisleys for the nostrils. Assemble according to the picture. The ears are close set and those funny eye balls are wide set, giving him a goofy dazed look. Sort of like he has just been hit in the head by...well, a bird! Ya, know? Then give him a few shine marks with your White Gel Pen.
(1) 1 3/8 Circle in Black
(1/2) 1 3/8 Circle in Gray
(2) 1/2 Circles in Gray
(3) circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in White
(1) sm Heart in Pumpkin
Red, Black and Saffron scraps
Cut punch pieces according to the picture and assemble. Use your Black Marker and White Gel Pen to make the eyes.
(1) Full Heart in Saffron
(1/2) 1 3/8 Circle in White
(1) Boho Flower in Black
(1) sm Heart in Pumpkin
(2) circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in White
Red Scraps
Cut punches according to the picture and assemble. Place white belly on top of heart punch and round the bottom with your Snips. Use you Black Marker and White Gel Pen to make eyes and shine marks.
(1) sm Oval
(2) circles from the Bitty Punch Pack
(1) sm Heart in Pumpkin
(1) Boho Flower in Turquoise
Black scraps
Now, according to Ava and Sam when you make this bird you should make three of them. You know, cause they split in three when you throw them? I didn't;) It still works, one is fine. Cut punches according to picture and assemble. Make eyes with your Black Marker and White Gel Pen.
Whew! There you have it. Let me know how they come out.
Don't have a Gel pen or Black Marker? I would love to help. Click here to shop my online store now. Missing one of the punches? Check out that Clearance Rack! I just picked up a bunch of punches myself for a steal!!

Hello Nikki, thank you so much for this tutorial. I am a new Stampin Up Demonstrator and I truly appreciate those willing to share and help. I have seen a number of cards I liked and would like to make but the person wasn't willing to share. Thank you again for your generosity, caring and giving, you are a true blessing, CarmenG

ReplyDeleteHi Niki! Found your post today, via a link from Stef's Ingenious Inkling blog. So glad because your birds and green piggy just crack me up! They are absolutely cuters! I can totally see why they were/are so popular! I need to check out the punch art on SCS. I'm pretty much stuck on the challenge galleries and a few member galleries. Looks like I am missing a whole lot! TFS this tutorial. I will be giving it a go sometime soon. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Niki! Love this tutorials and my 4 year old nephew loves angry birds! I have a question as I am making these. Could the pig ans black bird use the 1 3/4 circle punch for the base? The instructions say to use the 1 3/8 circle punch but the scale doesn't seem right. Thanks! Miriam

ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this tutorial. My grandson will be delighted when I send him an angry birds card for his 4th birthday later this month.
ReplyDeleteHi! I am curious if you attract a lot of traffic to your blog?
ReplyDeleteThanks for tutorial, I did want to ask if you used the 1 3/8" or the 1 3/4" circle punch? cause I started out using the 1 3/8" like you stated but then the eyes where way to big and not looking good so I changed to the 1 3/4" and they look great just like your pictures.
ReplyDeleteI made my DS a book mark with them and he loves it.
Great tutorial. Thanks so much for sharing. I can't wait to try it.
