Rodeo Parade

A few weeks ago we went to the Rodeo Parade. Sammie is crazy for horses. We sat in our usual spot and when we looked up Ava's best friend was sitting right across from us. So of course we waved them over, Hannah and her grandparents, who happen to be great friends with Ava and Sammie's grandparents (my mom and dad) and we all watched the parade together. It was so exciting. All those Rodeo queens and princesses, the dancing horses and more. Sam just yelled at the cowgirls the whole time, " Can I ride the horse? I want to ride the horse, please!" I kept telling her, "You can't ride them, they're in the show."

RSVP Gifts

The Launch Party is in just a few short hours. If you RSVP'ed ahead of time then I promised a gift waiting for you. These are the gifts the I am handing out. Coasters.
These little guys were made with a Decor Elements. Did you know you can make your own Decor Elements now? Just use some of our Vinyl Decor Element Sheets and one of your favorite Dies. This idea came from the Stampin Success magazine I get each month because I am a demonstrator. I love that magazine!

I apologize for the glare. To protect the coasters on the ride or walk home I slid them into one of our clear envelopes. Then to finish them I decorated them with some of our new ribbon and a cute little tag. The saying on the tag comes from the Totally Tess stamp set. "The best things in life are made not bought." So true!
If you are in the area please stop by to see me today. I have a gift for you too. RSVPs are not required just an added bonus. I will be celebration from 2:00PM till 4:00PM. And remember the best part, you can pick up one of our new catalogs and place and order as well. Hope to see you!

Water Skeeter vs. Bathing Beauty

Anyone that knows my girls knows they are night and day different. A trip to the pool proves no different. Ava is a total water bug. Her lips could be turning blue and she still wants to stay in the water. Sam......cold water!?! NO THANKS! She likes the heat, and she is perfectly content to lounge and eat her peanut butter sandwich or "Butter Yam-ich" as she would call it;) So here are two more pages for the family scrapbook. One for my little Water Skeeter and one for my Bathing Beauty.

Little Bitty Birthday

This gift bag inspired my 3X3 card for a little first birthday party we were invited to a few weekends ago. I was running low in time and needed something quick.
The card stock you may notice is one of our new In Colors coming soon. It matched my bag perfect. Also notice the ribbon on top of the card, that's a sneak peek as well. Be sure to stop by and see all the goodies in person at my Launch Party this Sunday!

CAS Guy Card

I have lots of Golf Guys in my family so anything with this theme works perfect for them. This is a real quick card with not a lot of detail. I made this one for my hubby's birthday a few months back and it go shoved into my display box of cards, but as I have been doing some huge cleaning, I came across it again
The little saying comes from the Loads of Love stamp set. It is suppose to go with the little pickup truck, but it works nicely as a golf saying too.

For Grandma Carol

Now I am normally not a floral kind of girl but I am really addicted to this Elements of Style Stamp set. I think it is just about the easiest stamp set for me to use. I am loving how simple your cards can be and they still look pretty. Today I share with you a little gift I put together for my hubby's Grandma. It was her birthday last week and I am going to meet her for lunch today.
The gift is simple: A note holder and a bookmark. The book mark is a case I copied from Stampin Connection. My version is a bit simpler than the one I saw but it still works. I think I will make myself one too.

The note holder is made of a plastic photo frame. I made these a long time ago as little Christmas gifts for my co-worker. They all loved them. The best part is when the post-it note runs out you can just stick a new one on.

Note Card

Look at this adorable card that was sent to me from one of my customers. This is so cute! I believe that these little cards are called Note Cards. You can order them from our catalog and they come with a set of matching envelopes. I have to tell you when I got this card I thought Alyssa has just made this size card herself and found some envelopes somewhere. But then looking through our catalog I found them. Bad Demonstrator, Bad, Bad! Right!?!
I love this size card. Alyssa, I think you sold me on these. Good job. On to the wish list they go!

Father's Day- Free Hugs

Family Day today. I get to spend the day with some of the best people and Father's in my Life: My Grandpa, my Dad and my husband. Sorry I don't have a creation for you today but I wanted to share this great video with you. My mom sent this to me and I think I have watched it about a hundred times already. It makes me tear up a bit each time. I would love to be one of these people handing out free hugs. That looks like a great days work to me. Anyone else? Not to mention I just love this song. Happy Father's Day!

Sneak Peek-Altered Note Book

My local bookstore has a really great section that has all these Paper Chase products: Photo holders, notebooks, folders and more! I love these Paper Chase products because they are just waiting to be decorated. I bought a ton on stuff the other day. Including some more Photo Boxes. I used the photo boxes to make some really convenient Stampin Kits for my customers. Click here to see them. This note book was just begging for a make-over with some of our new Catalog sneak peek products.
Ahhh. Much better! Look how beautiful our new DSP is. And yep, that's some new ribbon too. Just wait till you see it in person.

The embellishment is the middle is made up of the Define your Life Stamp set in Marina Mist Ink. The tag is from the Lots of Tags sizzlet in Marina Mist and one Trio Flower in Pumpkin Pie with a half pearl. What do you think?

My Stampin Space

Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! How does this happen. One second I sit down to work on a few projects and the next thing I know I am completely buried in Chaos! Please tell me I am not the only one this happens to. I can tell you sometimes this is how my brain feels. Total Chaos!
And the table top is not the only place my disaster is confined to. It spills onto the floor too. Yikes! But in all fairness I am working on a BIG project. The Garage Sale. I am gathering and organizing all my goodies and pricing them to sell. Sometimes I still have to wipe a tear away at some of the goodies I have to let go. But I am just making room for new ones, right? Right!

Okay, this is much better. This is my cleaned up Stampin Space. I try to clean it up like this each night before I go to bed so that I can re-enter again in the morning with out anxiety. But trust me it doesn't stay like this for long.
Here is another picture of some of my organization. It still looks a little messy to me. But its a work in progress. Be sure to save the date to the Garage Sale. Friday, July 9th! email me for location info.

Shoe Box Exchange

I love this card. This one I got at the Shoe Box Exchange I went to with my Stampin' group. This card was designed by one of my downline, Sarah. I think it is so pretty. I love the two-step stampin set, Awash. Its a pretty fun set to use too.
I have to admit her card looked better than mine. I need a little practice but I still like how it came out. I love the half Pearl and the black ribbon. Nice job, Sarah!

Super Quick MDS Page

Ahhh! The weather is finally cooperating. It was a really nice weekend and we spent our time at my parents house, enjoying the pool and hot tub, BBQing, and celebrating my Dad's birthday. It usually has to be pretty hot to get me in the pool but with our little ones just learning to swim, I was in there all day! But I got a lot of color so that was good.

Here is a super quick MDS page I threw into the 2010 family album. I still have more pages from this weekend. Lots of great pictures and an eventful weekend leads to lots of MDS when I get home. I will share those with you soon. Have a great day.

4X4 Floral Box

The other day I received a box in the mail containing some hair product samples. I liked the size of the box and decided to hang onto it. I wanted to recreate it in to something I could use for cards. When I opened the box flat it was just a bit larger than a 12X12 piece of card stock. So I decided to sit down and figure a scaled down version of the same style box.

As luck would have it, my calculations worked. Here is the box. Now this particular creation went to a friend for her birthday. I filled the box with Jelly Belly's and a 3X3 card, but I hope to have a formal tutorial for you soon.

Here is the completed project. I used my new favorite DSP, Island Floral and the Island Floral Die the decorate the top. Now, I gotta run we are off to the Rodeo Parade! Can't miss it. The girls love horses and all those fancy cowgirls that ride standing up and do tricks. Boy, I hope they don't want to do that when they get older!!!

Butterfly 3X3

This card was a quick 3X3 card that I used for a friends birthday. It was inspired by a great card I saw on Stampin Connection. The original card was standard size. I did have to change it up a bit because I was working on a small surface but the idea was the same. Click here to see the original. Stunning, huh? I know, I like the original better than mine but I needed a small card to go with my little gift.

Supplies:
Paper: Island Oasis DSP, Textured Only Orange card stock, Old Olive Card Stock
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslit

What Kind of Guy Do You Have?-3

For the Fishing Guy. This is number 3 in my "What Kind of Guy do you Have?" series. This one will go to my Father-in-Law. Now I must say, there are lots of these cards being created out there and this is not my original design but there also wasn't just one card that inspired my card. I noticed that I snapped this picture before I finished the card. In my finished card I lined the inside with whisper white card stock. The Fishing Vest's pockets are made with the both size Tag punches. I just snipped the tops of the tags off and lowered them on top of the tag for some dimension. The pockets were then stuffed with scrap bits of Linen Thread and feathers that have fallen out of my daughter's boa. Now, only one more "Man-Card" to go!

With Sympathy

Never a fun card to make. This is a Sympathy card that I sent to one of my cousins who just lost her Grandmother. With Sympathy cards, I usually want them to be soft and simple. For this card I used my Elements of Style stamp set. You can find this set in the Current Mini. I also did a version of the Spotlight technique on this card. I used the large flower stamp to stamp the background of the card. But then I stamped it again on the top layers and colored the picture with my aqua-painter.
Then finish the card with a bit of ribbon and a Vanilla Hardware Bracket and there it is. Just a simple card to let her know she is in my thoughts.

What Kind of Guy Do You Have-2

For the Golfer Guy. Now I do have a lot of Golfer Guys in my family and this card could fit most of them but because I wanted all the cards to be different I had to choose one recipient. So this one is going to my Grandpa. It's not that the Golfer Card fits my Grandpa the best, it's more that my Grandpa fits the Golfer card the best. If that makes sense. As you can see the To The Nines DSP works perfectly here. Notice the little golf tee in his pocket? How do you make it???..................Well, that's our ornaments punch of course!
