My first My Digital Studio Card

Happy Halloween! And Happy Birthday to me!.....I know a shameless plug for myself. Anyway, today I share my first MDS card. I am finishing my certification and I now get to play with my My Digital Studio. It is pretty fun. And look, I don't have this set and I was still able to make a Halloween card for you today. This took me no time at all. Now I have a few choices, I can keep it as an e-card, I can print it myself or I can send it to the SU! professional print service to be printed. The professional print service will print it, cut it, score it and send it back with an envelope for me. Pretty nice, huh? Hope everyone has a warm, fun and safe Halloween tonight!

Halloween Treat Boxes

I wanted to give you something that was Halloween inspired today and I didn't have anything so I am borrowing a project from my cousin. Hi, Lorraine! I hope you don't mind but I love these. Lorraine created these as her Door Prizes for our last Stamp Camp. They were a big hit! She always does such beautiful work. I love the way these came out. Pop on over to her blog to see some of her other fabulous creations by clicking HERE.

Another Christmas Jingle Card

Yep, another quickie card using my Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin Kit. I think some of my gifts this year are going to be Christmas related. What I mean is, they will be a small stack of Christams cards, a box of gift tags, holiday planners and more. This is an easier way for me to give out more gifts (which I really love to do) without breaking the bank. Of course they will get their gifts earlier than Christmas so that they will be able to enjoy them and of course I have the fun in making them! This is only the beginning of my projects so you will have to stay tuned for the finished products.

My Digital Studio Update

Sorry I don't have any creations for you today. I hope to have more soon. So today I wanted to let you know why I have been so distracted. I am in the process of going through a My Digital Studio Certification Process. Why? Because this software can do so much I want to learn as much about it as I can. Did you know that MDS is NOT a Digital Scrapbooking program? It is a Digital Paper Crafting Solution! What does that mean? Well it means that you can do so much more than scrapbooking with this program including: Scrapbooks, cards, calendars, movies, blog enhancements, and more! Why is this important to you? So that I will be ready to answer all your questions and help you with all your projects when you get your MDS. I am watching these great webinars and taking quizzes and the best part is, as part of my certification I have to use the Professional Printing service to create some projects. Why is that the best part? Well because then I will get to play and create with my MDS, then I will receive adorable projects made just in time for Christmas presents with my favorite family photos, and YOU will get to see the finished MDS products up close and personal. Can you tell I am excited about this program? Well, I better get back to work. Boy, this is a fun job!!!

DSP Treats

These easy-peasy little treat cups we made at a party I did last Friday. They are called sour cream containers on Split Coast. All they use is a small piece of DSP, a small bit of strong adhesive and a crimper. Then embellish however you desire.
For ours we use the Autumn Meadows DSP found in the Mini. Then we stamp a leaf and the Thank You sentiment using the Holiday Blitz stamp set. These containers are filled with nuts but you could use any theme and any small filler. Just pop open and enjoy!

Pumpkin Party

Last night was our little pumpkin party. I think it was a success. With 12 little ones running around having a ball it was pretty crazy. But we had plenty for them to do. We decorated our pumpkins with stickers, paint and pipe cleaners (no knives at a toddler party.) In the above picture you can see my little Sammie painting on someone else's pumpkin;)
Sorry this one is so fuzzy. I was having trouble with my camera. Maybe if some of the other mommies got some good shots they can send them to me. We also decorated cookies and painted faces. Most of the little girls had there faces painted like black cats because that was easy for me to do. But take a look at some of the daddies below!

Ava want Dad to be a dog. I love my husband! Isn't he a good sport? And he makes a good dog, huh?

Then it started to catch on. Here is Brandon (a dog), Andy (a pirate) and Kenny (a vampire.) These dads earn super points with me. They really made the party!!! Thanks to all the families that showed up. I know our house is a haul for some of you but I hope everyone had as much fun as my family did!

Envelope Pocket Card

Here is one of the projects made at a party I did last night. This creation is courtesy of Chicnscratch, one of my favorite blogs. This card was made in a neutral tone so it can be used for any occasion but it would be perfect for a holiday card. Just place a note in one side and a gift card in the other.

Bewitching Treats

I found these super cute Halloween treats while playing on Split Coast the other day. I thought I would give them a try.On the inside of the hat is one Reese's peanut butter cup. Click here to see some more of these little guys and a really great tutorial on how to make them. One tip from me: the top of the hat would probably be easier if you use some of the fabulous Halloween DSP. I used card stock on mine because that was all I had and it is a little bit harder to do.

Door Prizes

No one leaves stamp camp without a prize. Here just some of the door prizes that were given out. They were all so wonderful and I don't even think I got pictures of all of them.
These ones right here with the Bermuda Bay tags are the ones I made. I like to think of them as "perfect torture." At least for me they are. They were Hersey's chocolate bars wrapped with the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin Kit. Ooooooh, what to do! Eat the chocolate or keep the cute project!?!

I wish I could give credit for all of these great projects but I am not sure which demos made each prize. Maybe some of you can leave me some comments in case anyone wants to know more about them. Just know that we have an awesome and very talented group of demonstrators that put on these camps!

Which prize did you get? Not to mention all of our stamp campers also got a favor for coming as well. Remember our next stamp camp is just around the corner: Saturday February 27th. Save the date!

Believe it or not I still have more pictures. But to really experience the fun, excitement and to see all the cards made you will have to attend!!!!!

Candy Corn Treat Bags

Here is my first batch of Halloween treat bags. Most of these are going to my mom's co-workers. She needed something inexpensive and sweet to hand out. This is how they came out. The rest of these go to the office ladies that work with my husband and the last of them will be for Ava's preschool. I stamped the back of the bags with my personalized stamp so everyone will know these where hand made. Stazon ink keeps the bags from smearing.

Yep, these are all SU! product. The small flat cellophane bags are only $3.95 for a pack of 50! Can't beat that and the candy corn is a big bag for only $2 at Target right now. Most of the tags come from card stock scraps. So if you do the math then these little guys come out pretty cheap.

Here are the supplies you need to recreate these little guys:
Batty for you stamp set
Small flat cellophane bags
scallop circle punch
1 3/8 circle punch
1 1/4 circle punch
Grosgrain Ribbon (I used Black , Eggplant, White, Pumpkin)
Colored Card Stock (same colors as ribbon plus Old Olive)
Silver Cord
Candy Corn

More Stamp Camp Photos

Here are a few more pictures I snapped while we were at Stamp Camp. Now you see when we say bring you camera we mean it, right? There were hundreds of adorable projects on display throughout the hall.

I hope everyone found lots of great cards and projects that they want to recreate or even inspired them to create something similar.

I know the projects are hard to see in these pictures. But I wanted to give you any idea of all the excitement that goes into putting the Stamp Camp together.

To see these fabulous projects up close be sure to mark you calendar for our next Stamp Camp: February 27th at Grace Hall again. Registration info will be sent out closer to the event. Hope you can all make it back again!

Stamp Camp Success!

As many of you already know, this year's holiday Stamp Camp was a huge SUCCESS! Yesterday's camp was sold out and we all had a blast. There was food, music, good company, tons of displays, favors, door prizes, and of course everyone made beautiful cards. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. For us demonstrators a lot of hard work goes into planning a stamp camp and we hope to always make the experience as fun as possible. We thank you all for coming and for the kind comments that are left on our surveys. As much fun as you customers are having making your cards, us demos are having as much fun showing them to you. Here are a few picture of the ladies hard at work (and having fun!) Stay tuned for more pictures of the fun!

Ava's Card

Look at my girl go! Does it matter that she stamps upside down? No. This is a little project that we created together a while ago and I just realized that I never shared it with you. She is 2 years old and already loves to stamp.
Not sure why the silly smile always comes out when I want to take a picture but it never fails. Look how proud she is of her card.

Here is the finished project. We used Certainly Celery DSP from the Moments and Milestones Simply Scrappin Kit. The stamp set used was Bugs and Kisses. The caterpillar was made with her fingerprints. If you try this with your little one you may want to use a light color ink and wash their hand right away afterwards so it doesn't stain. I think this is a card for Grandma for sure!

Kitchen Magnets

As promised here are the goodies that I put into yesterday's fancy favor bags. These are a set of four kitchen magnets. Click here to see the original project that inspired these. I really loved the the original but I didn't have the same punches that she used so I had to change mine up a bit.
For mine I used the For All You Do Stamp Set. These where made with four of the six new In Color supplies. I used Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Dusty Durango and Rich Razzleberry.

The back of each magnet has two small self adhesive magnets. You can find a package of these at any craft store for fairly cheap. I liked these little guys because they were different and quick to make. They also are small enough that I will add a bit of seasonal candy to the favor bags as well.

Fun with Fancy Favor Boxes

These little guys are some goodies I have on hand for some upcoming parties I have this month and November. These are super quick and easy to use when you have your Big Shot and the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die. You can fill these with whatever you like: candy, something you baked, or other little creations you have made. I will show you what I put in them tomorrow......
I used my For All You Do Stamp Set to embellish these ones. I also used my Word Window Punch and my Modern Label Punch to add some dimension. Don't you love how the two punches fit perfectly together?

These bags are adorable open or with a cute handle attached to the top, but for mine I decided to close them up. I punched two holes in the top of the bag with my Slot punch (which is perfect for threading ribbon.) Then I used some coordination Polka Dot Ribbon to hold them closed.

Delloso Fun!

Sorry no creations today. We were just so busy having fun yesterday that I didn't have any time to make anything. So instead I am plugging the Delloso Farms which is sponsored this year by my husband's work Berberian Motors. As you can see we had so much fun. If you live in the area and you haven't checked it out yet you NEED to go. Parents will be pleasantly surprised with how much they have added this year. And as packed as it was last night the lines moved fast, the food (taco stand) is great and there is so much to do!

Here we are picking out pumpkins. We came home with five of them. I don't know why!
Here is Ava on a HUGE horse! She loved it. I guess she will be getting a pony for Christmas.

Here are our little animals in the cute cut-outs that are all over the farm.

Sammie and Daddy. It got cold when the sun went down. But the girls didn't seem to mind with all the running around they were doing.

Here we are with some of the kids waiting for the train ride. You can see Sammie's hat running out of the picture;)
We will definitely be going back for the snow on the farm too!
