I have started to work on my favors for my sis-in-laws baby shower coming up in a few weeks. First of all, I have to say "Thank heaven for my Big Shot." These little cuties would have taken me forever if I had to cut and score them by hand. I used the pillow box die and the (retiring) Parisian Breeze DSP. I added some Stripped Baja Breeze Ribbon around the pillow box. Then I stamped a Baja Breeze fish from the Just Beachy Stamp set (today is the last day to order that) and punched it out with a 1 1/4 circle punch. I mounted the fish on a 1 3/8 circle punch in Chocolate Chip. Then using my Parisian Breeze scraps I punched some Scallop circles and attached the circle punches to that. I also added a Word Window punch with the words "thank you." I attached the tags to my pillow box using Hemp Twine. Right now I am only about half way done with all the favor boxes that I need but I think they are cute so far. What do you think?

Friends For The Long Haul
Take a look at this super cute card I just received from one of my stampers/friends. I love this Jenn! So Cute. For this card Jenn used the super popular Loads of Love stamp set. The card base is Pink Pirouette (a retiring In Color) and the Candy Lane DSP (also retiring). I love how she has the truck pulling her message "Friends for the long haul." To finish the card she added a bit of the stripped Ridding Hood Red Ribbon. Very nicely done Jenn. And thank you for the kind words on the inside of the card. We miss you guys too!..............P.S. The "Redbridge" beer was a nice touch but I can't drink it without you;)

Here is the recipe for the card:

Happy Birthday Cousin Kris!
Well happy birthday cousin Kris. As you can see I still have your card. Sorry about that. I thought I was going to get to hang out with your lovely wife today and so I was planning on giving the card to her to take home for you. But as luck would have it, you pulled rank on me today and you get her instead. That's okay I understand. So I apologise for your card being late to you but I hope you have a wonderful birthday.
I had fun making this card. I wanted to do something different. So, I used the top of the cupcake from the Sizzlit 4-pack Big Bold Cupcakes Die for clouds and the largest circle punch for the baseball. I added the 32 in naked Chip Board because that's how old cousin Kris is turning. Then to finish I added a Large Oval window using the window sheet like the one that Julie Ramos has been making. If you want to see some of her work click HERE. I hope you like what I came up with.

Happy 4th AND Happy Birthday
No this card is not for a happy 4th birthday. It is for a birthday boy whose birthday is on the 4th of July. That's my brother! I wanted to get a jump start on this card before it sneaks up on me. This card is a bit bigger than I usually make, 5x5. And I really love Baja Breeze with Real Red so they were perfect for this card. In fact the card that I made for tomorrow is in the same color combo. I hope Sean likes the card.

Good Family Fun
Here is a quick and cute card that I think would be great for a family fun night or a game night invitation. This card was not my original. But I can't remember where I saw it. I think it was in our monthly magazine that goes out to all the demonstrators. There are tons of cute creations in there. Luckily this stamp set is not being retired because it is still new but some of these colors will soon be leaving us. This card used the Kiwi Kiss and the Pacific Point In Colors. I used a portion of a dimensional to pop up one of the game pieces. This might also work for a kids birthday card as well. Hope you like it.
***Also, just wanted to remind those of you who are planning on attending the 2nd punch class that the class is this weekend. Remember to bring your Snail and your book from the first class unless I am bringing one for you. But hey, maybe you don't live in the area and you would still like to do one of my classes. You can! Just let me know and we can do it by mail. I will send you the supplies. Thanks for stopping by.

Before it's Gone
Before it's gone forever I wanted to show you one of my favorite card that I have received. This card was made for my daughter's 2nd birthday by my cousin Lorraine. Some of you may be familiar with her work, if not you should check out her blog by clicking HERE. She does some really great work. But this card in particular I really love because there was so much detail and you can really tell how much time went into this card. I just had to share it with you before all of the supplies used are gone. The stamp set used is the Wild About You stamp set, which is on the Last Chance List right now. If you don't already have this set you may want to get it. It is so cute. Be sure to notice all the dimension on this card. It really makes the whole card pop! Thanks Auntie Raine! This one is a keeper.

One of My Mini Favorites
The Great Friend Stamp set which can be found in our current Occasions Mini Catalog is one of my favorites. I usually don't lean towards the natural sets but this one is easy for me to use. I made this quick card for a fellow demonstrator. I hope she likes it. I find it hard to impress other demonstrator because there is such great talent out there. Here is the recipe for the card:
Paper: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Great Friend
Accessories: 5/8" Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Button Latte

For Brandon
I found this really great card on SCS. This is a cased card I just changed the colors for what I had. This is the perfect card for my husband. And you wouldn't believe how quick and simple it was to make. Click HERE to check out the original and there is also step by step instructions so you can create your own. This card would look great with any DSP. And the dimension on the card is great! The inside of the card reads "to a Wonderful father" from the Wonderful Favorites stamp set. Hope you like.

Getting Situated
Well it's official. I am a Stockton-ite. Thank you for being patient with me. I really didn't want to miss a day of posting but it was too hard. So, sorry for that. But with all my stuff in boxes, no Internet connection and not being able to find my camera I had to take a day off. And I am sorry but today I don't have a creation for you either. But I promise to be back on track soon. So for today I am sharing our new home. As you can see we are almost settled in and we really love our new house. So do the girls. Decor Element Sneak Peek
The New Decor Elements Catalog will soon be here. The catalog will go live along with our other New Catalog on July 1. I can't wait. I am moving and I have a ton of spots in my new house that can use a "Stampin Up" touch. I have recently started using the Decor Elements and I was amazed at how easy they are to use (and remove if you choose to). Here is a little sneak peek of a New Decor Elements that I bought from the NEW Catalog. Once you get your catalog you will see the the wording "So many toys, so little time" is actually meant for a boy. The phase is accompanied by a cute little airplane. But as many of you know, I have baby girls. So, for our toy box I didn't put the airplane on (just the wording). Then I added a NEW "Her Majesty" princess crown in Rose Red. Of course, I will have to get one more princess crown because I have two little princesses. I love how it came out and I think my older princess did too as you can see. What do you think?

Happy Birthday Dad!
Today is my dad's birthday and this is the card I made for him. As you can see with father's dad coming up and with all the "Handy" guys in my family I will surely be getting good use out of my Totally Tool stamp set. I really love this set. For me it is easy to use and makes making guy cards a piece of cake. Not sure if you can see it, but I used the tape measure as "d's" on my card. The "a" in the middle is a piece of naked chip board. I thought that the chipboard looked okay naked because the card base was Sahara Sand. I matted the Whisper White card stock strip with some of the So Saffron Patterns Pack DSP. Then I finished with a few brads. Brads are manly , right? No glitter, no ribbon. My dad thought that it was really creative and loved the "tape measure d's".

60th Birthday
Yesterday was my husband's uncle's 60th Birthday party. This is the card I made for him. I used one of my favorite "Manly" stamp sets for this card, Card Games. Then I folded the card using the gate fold technique. The fold worked perfectly for holding his gift which was a strip of lucky scratchers. I hope they were lucky for him. I know it was a small gift but it seems when you give someone something (like a card) that is handmade it always means so much more. And he did love the card and without even knowing, it went very nicely with the theme. Here is the recipe for the card:
Stamp Set: Card Games, Game Night
Paper: Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Ridding Hood Red, Jackpot DSP
Ink: Basic Black

An Alyssa Showcase

I have to take some time to showcase one of my talented stampers. Alyssa sent me a few pictures of her latest creations and I thought that they were great! Alyssa is still a fairly new stamper, her first class that she attended was the Stamp-a-Stack a few months ago. Since then, she says, she is addicted. Can you blame her? But she does really beautiful work. In one of the pictures you will see a butterfly box that she made for a friends wedding. She also sent me pictures of this super creative Graduation card. And the final card I have a hard copy of. Alyssa left this card on my porch as a thank you for the gift I left on her porch for her birthday (you can see the gift a few posts back). Thank you Alyssa for that card and for sending me pictures of your creations.
I love giving my readers something new to look at everyday but sometimes I feel like I just don't have the creativity. If you have a picture of a project you made that you are really proud of send me a picture. I would love to show it on my blog. It helps me keep my blog fresh and it showcases other talent and tastes. Hope you all have a great weekend!

2009-2010 Catalog Sneak Peek
Well, as some of you may have seen, some Stampin Up demonstrators are starting to receive their 2009-2010 Stampin Up catalog as well as their sneak peek items. I was able to get together with some of my favorite demonstrators on Wednesday night to see some of the sneak peek products in person. I received my catalog and shipment yesterday. I have to say I love the new catalog! I have 37 items on my wish list if that tells you anything. Of course I won't be paying for all of that. I will try to earn as much free as I can. Ask me how you can too! Although, I can't show you the entire catalog I can show you some of the sneak peek products I received along with the gifts that Beverlee and Karen made for us on Wednesday night. Thank you for those. I love them!
Althought I am supper excited about the new catalog, I am still sad to see some of our current In Colors and Last Chance products leaving us. We still have a few more days to enjoy our current catalog. Also, if you still have not reserved your spot for the June classes be sure to do that as well.

Happy Birthday Alyssa!
Happy Birthday Alyssa!!!! Today is one of my friend's birthdays. So here is the gift and card that I made for her. I found the idea for this cute little purse on Split Coast. Click HERE to see the original. This posting also has a great tutorial which I followed. For my creation I used the newly Retiring Rockabilly Specialty DSP. If you like this paper you need to order it now before it's gone. The 3X3 card is made out of the same DSP. I used the Goody-Goody Gumdrops stamp set for the card. Inside the purse Alyssa will find some goodies from the current catalog. I can't tell you what it is incase she hasn't looked at it yet. Oh by the way Alyssa, check your porch. I think the Stampin' Up fairy came in the middle of the night;) I hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Stay tuned! I went to my Upline's house last night to see the new Catalog. I love it! I should get mine today. I will have pictures for you from last night that I will post tomorrow.
Another First Birthday
Here is another card for a "First Birthday" coming up. I really love the Sweet Slumber DSP. I think it is perfect for little birthdays. But this paper is also on the Last Chance List. I hope you got a pack. It can soon be gone forever. I keep looking at this card and thinking that it is missing something. I just cant figure it out. Is it the cupcake? Not sure. Let me know what you think. Here is the recipe for the card:
Stamp Sets: A Great Friend
Paper: Sweet Slumber, Ridding hood Red, Whisper White
Ink: So Saffron, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon, Big Bold Cupcakes 4-pack dies

June Gift of the Month
For the June Gift of the Month I am giving you something to help keep you organized. These little cards will fit perfectly in your photo box (if you don't have one you can pick one up at Micheal's). All you have to do is write a name or event on the appropriate line and once you get your card made you can slip it in behind the file card. That way you can make your cards ahead of time (with no rush). Then when the time comes pull out your June cards and drop them in the mail. Hope this helps keep you on track. The colors may vary based on how much of the In Colors I have left.
When thinking about what this months gift would be I was deciding between two different projects. But Jenn, you kinda inspired this one;) Hope this helps. Remember, all you have to do to receive one of these is place and order. Any order, any time during the month of June. That shouldn't be hard with all the sales right now. Happy shopping!
