Sorry for the late post this morning. It's garage sale day! So I am posting between customers. This card was a card that I made for my cousin a while ago. I thought that I lost it. I guess I put it in one of those really safe places so that I wouldn't loose it;). This card is really simple with one little trick. Where did the trailer come from? Did you notice that the Loads of Love stamp set doesn't come with a trailer. You can make this creation with the help of you Marvelous Markers. The benefit to inking your stamps with a marker verse the stamp pads is you can omit certain parts of the stamp. In this case I only wanted the back part of the truck so that is what I inked. Then with the help of your Stamp-A-Majig you can place the stamp exactly where you need it. Now it's your turn. Take another look at your stamps and see what you can come up with.

Miss you
For those of you late birds out there, I am posting a bit early (or late) because tomorrow is garage sale day. This card I made a while ago to send to my cousin and I thought that I lost it. I guess I put it in one of those really safe places so I wouldn't loose it. This is a pretty simple card with one little trick. Where did the trailer come from? Oh, did you notice that there is no trailer stamp in the Loads of Love stamp set. Well you can make one of these yourself using your Marvelous Marker. When you ink your stamp sets with a marker instead of a stamp pad you can omit certain parts of the stamp. In this case I only wanted the back part of the truck so that is what I did. Then using your Stamp-A-Majig you can get perfect placement on you card. I think it came out cute. What do you think? Now it's your turn. Take another look at your sets and see what you can come up with.

Flock Together
I just got this DSP as part of my buy 3 get one FREE offer, which is going to end in just a few days so if you still want to take advantage of this offer or if you want to do it again now is the time. This card is actually a congratulations card for one of my husbands co-workers that is about to have a baby any day. I thought that this was a different looking baby card but it still works. I think the buttons keep it baby. But what I really liked was the colors. I use Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip. I thought that the color combo gave the card a cool but summery feel. What do you think?

For Miss Brittney
This little card and gift set I made for my daughters dance teacher. It was her last day of class last week(sniff, sniff) so Ava wanted to say "thank you for teaching me tap and ballet." The trouble is I don't have any dance stamp sets. This card is a total case (copy and share) of my cousin's work. I really loved this card. I thought that it was one of those "simple wow" cards. Click HERE to see her original work. As you can see hers is a cute little boy card and I girlied mine up. Hope Miss Brittney likes it. The gift was one of my note pads with a matching pen and a few scallop "love note" cards.

It's the little things
I just found out that a friend of mine is expecting baby number two. I am so excited for her. As us mommies of multiple babies know, two babies doesn't double the work. It's more like they quadruple the work! But they also quadruple the love. Just wait until those two babies start to play together, giggle together, and give each other hugs and kisses. It will melt your heart. Am I right mommies? This is the card that I made for her and her family. Congrats Jack on becoming a big brother! Card Recipe:
Paper: So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Sweet Slumber DSP
Ink: So Saffron, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Certainly Celery Buttons

Well, it's that time of year again. Graduation Time. A friend of ours is graduating from nursing school this month. Paper: Good Morning Sunshine, Chocolate Chip
Ink: None
Ribbon: 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain
Accessories: Spiral Punch, Loop to Loop Rub-ons

U R 1

Another color challenge. We have a little friend that is about to turn one that I needed a card for. So this color challenge was helpful. I sometimes get into to girlie mode (go figure) and I have a hard time switching to little boy. So this color challenge helped a bit. I CASed (copy and shared)one of my own cards a bit. In a earlier post HERE you can see the girlie reversion. I loved how it came out so I changed the colors and added the chip board letters and the number 1. I hope the little guy and his mommy like it.

Freebie Box
Introducing the new Freebie box! I am giving way tons of free cards, scrapbook pages, 3D projects and more! Why? Well, mostly because I love you! But also because as a demonstrator I need to use current product. So if I have a project made out of retired stamp sets, paper or ink then they will go into the freebie box. Just because I can no longer use them doesn't mean you can't. So how do you get them? Just attend a class or hostess a party and you and all of your guests can choose one item from the box to take home with you. While attending classes and hostessing workshops you will also get to shop through my garage sale box as well to buy more retired products. And my garage sale will be growing again once the Last chance list (formerly the retired list) comes out on June 1.

Recycled Butterfly
You may recognize this butterfly from my butterfly birthday set I made for Sammie's first birthday. I still had a few of my butterfly wands left over and I decided to make a card out of it. I needed a quick thank you so I used a Whisper White card stock base and folded a 4 1/4 X 11 piece of the clear window sheets (found in the Occasions Mini Catalog) around the card. I used my Summer Love Rub-Ons to add the Thank You sentiment and a few simple leaves in the background. I then added a bit of the Pink Pirouette Ribbon to hold the Window Sheet to the card base. Thanks to the butterfly already being made, this card went together in a snap. Take a second look at some of your left over cards and see how you can recycle them into a new look. Happy Saturday!

Enjoy!
I just love FREE stuff! This is the Free stamp set that I received from Stampin Up for being one of the winners of the Demonstrator Summer Stampin Challenge. I really love participating in challenges because it helps to pull me out of my box. I couldn't wait to play around with this set. This is one of those sets that I have had on my wish list for a while so it was really nice to earn it for FREE. Do you have a long wish list? Do you like to get things for FREE? Maybe it's time to book a party. Invite your friends and you not only will have a fabulous time but you will have the chance to earn Stampin Up Merchandise, Hostess Sets and all the examples demonstrated at your party. Sounds pretty nice, huh? And trust me, when you get your friend hooked they will thank you for it (well, maybe.) Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Simple Shower Invites
Well, I think that I have come up with the invitations to my sis-in-law's baby shower. I decided to keep it simple because I am going to do more embellishments with this stamp set on the cake and other food and gifts. I really love this set. I think it is easy to keep it simple and have it still look cute. I have to admit though, it is really hard for me to not embellish! But what do you think? Suggestions? Comments? I am really building the shower around the Baja Breeze color because I have a ton of it: paper, ribbon, ink. This color along with all the other In Colors will be leaving us soon. I am sure you can hear my sniffling through you computer speakers right now. And did I mention that the count down to the new catalog is just around the corner? That's right! Stay tuned because the Last Chance List (formerly the Retired List) will be here soon(June 1.)
* please excuse the typo on the invitation. This is my draft. Just noticed it ;)

Shower Color Theme

Anyone catch the new KWerner Color Challenge? Well, here you go! When I saw these colors I thought, "I just found my color theme for my sis-in-laws shower." I am throwing her a beach themed "Green" shower. So that means lots of natural items for decorations. These colors will be perfect to use. Just think: water, sand, shells and sun. I love it! So here is one project I worked on yesterday. **Jenn you get a little credit for this one. When I went to a baby shower for my friend Alyssa (the shower was thrown by Jenn) she had made a packet of Thank You cards for Alyssa that where ready for her to send out. I thought that was a great idea so that is what I did for my sis. Thanks for the inspiration Jenn! More baby shower stuff to come.

Upcoming Summer Class
Here is a little sneak peak for you of our upcoming "Tart and Tangy" Class. I am really excited about this class. It will have you wanting to throw your own summer bash!
Another reason I love being a demonstrator is for the challenges. Stampin Up puts out ch alleges to all of their demonstrators with different themes every month. By entering in these challenges you are eligible to win free stamps sets. Last months challenge was to create a summer class so I did. And I won! Well, there were actually four winners but I was one of them. So, I cant wait to show you the entire class. If you are a fellow demonstrator you can check out my entry under the Summer Stamp Challenge page and get all the instructions as well. I will post more info of this class in a few days.

Sweet Baby Boy
Hey, did I tell you that my sis-in-law is having baby? Whoo Hoo! And that I get to throw the shower? Double Whoo Hoo! So I have started making some projects for the shower. These are the brag books that I will be giving to the Grandmas-to-be. I Hope they like them. These are a super quick and easy gift to give someone. Inside the book you will find 5 clear envelopes perfect for holding picture of the new little guy. You can find a step by step picture tutorial and instructions on how to make these projects on Split Coast by clicking HERE. Try it and let me know how yours come out.

It Just Keeps Getting Sweeter!
It sure does! Don't you love this weather? I am having so much fun with my girls out in the sun. I am super excited for summer. As you can tell by today's card. I've got that summer feeling. This card has a clean and simple look but it actually takes a few steps. The ice cream sunday is a one scoop treat but I wanted it to be bigger. So with the help of my Stamp-a-ma-jig and the masking technique I was able to change my sunday from a single scoop to a double scoop to a triple scoop. What do you think? Yummy, huh? If you have never seen the Stamp-a-ma-jig in action or would like to learn more about masking or reverse-masking let me know and I will demo it at you next party. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Rockabilly Thanks
Did you know that demonstrators love the Stampin Up Specials too? I took advantage of the buy 3 get 1 free DSP special so I could stock up on the paper that I love. The Rockabilly Specialty paper was one of the sets I chose. I made this card as a quick thank you that I will be sending to a friend. Remember we are half way through with the May specials so if you haven't placed your order now is the time to do it! Here is the recipe for this card:
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Rockabilly DSP
Ink: None
Ribbon: Whisper White Stain Ribbon
Accessories: Hooray Designer Hardware, Loop to Loop Rub ons

Oh, So Happy For You
In anticipation of a new baby girl that will be joining us soon I made this baby card to send to the new parents. The Sweet Celebrations stamp set is a new set that I recently treated myself to. I have been eyeing this set for a while. I love the stamp with the brackets and the little journaling space. I thought this would be a nice set for scrapbooking but as you can see I used it on this card as well. For the card I used this color combo: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron and Rose Red. I stamped the "Sweet Bundle..." circle in Chocolate Chip and added a Chocolate Chip Chip Board "h" to make it look like the word "Oh" then I stamped the brackets in So Saffron and added one of my Chit Chat Rub-ons to make the card read "Oh, so happy for you." I added a few So Saffron buttons because buttons always make a baby card and that was that. I hope the expecting parents like it!

Let's go Fly a Kite
Well because it is national Scrapbooking month I felt as if I should try to dazzle you with some scrapbooking. But the truth is: I am not a very good scrapbooker. In fact I don't even do it that much. So here is my attempt at a page for you. I really love a progressive page. For those of you that don't know what a progressive page is take a look at the small White square with the kite on it. If you are a 6X6 scrapbooker you would use this layout. Next look at the Baja Breeze paper. This layout is for 8 1/2 X 11 scrapbookers. I added the 6X6 page along with another picture square and a square with a cloud for some journaling. And finally if you scrapbook in 12X12 then use would use the whole page which includes the first two options along with the word "Family" and two more photo squares. I think that the progressive page gives me a nice layout every time and you can still make each page look so different. Hope you like it.

Tip for Rub ons
I just love my Rub-ons. Here are some tips to help you with yours. First don't cut your Rub-on sheets to get to the one you want to use. If you leave the sheet intact then it is much easier to store your sheets between use. Also if you are very gentle about laying your Rub-ons across your project then to other images wont transfer off. However, if they do a bit then here is a quick and easy remidy the fix that problem: use your adhesive remover! Maybe you got a little to much Rub-on on the your project or maybe to changed your mind a want to take the image you put on off. Just rub your Remover across your Rub-on and it will disaper. If you don't have one of these little tools on your wish list I suggest to get one! Hope this helps. You will see the finished product of this project tomorrow. Have a great day.

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. I am posting my mother's day post a bit early because we are leaving in the morning for a family day. So, for mother's day I am giving myself the day off. In the below posting you will see my "fill-in" for the day. I decided to let a guy make the card of the day for me. This is my favorite youtube video. It really cracks me up! I know this is an old video and some of you have already seen it but I think it is fitting for the day. I hope you all have a relaxing day of pampering and appreciation because I know we all deserve it!
Hooray!
At our last IMPRINTS meeting I received a packet of the Designer Hardware from my Upline Beverlee for being a faithful blogger(no pressure there);) I think these are so cute. I especially liked the owl. I love the Pacific Point In Color, I think it is so eye catching and bold. So I made this card using my new Hardware. I used Pacific Point for the card base and some of the Good Morning Sunshine paper. I added a bit of the Kiwi Kiss Ribbon and my little owl and that was that. Check out the post below for an added tip to help you stretch some of your supplies.
Quick Tip
Are your cutting blades getting dull? I know mine are. I quick tip to help you stretch the time between using your old blades and waiting for your new blades to come with your latest Stampin order is: Use your Sanding blocks. The sanding blocks can help smooth out those frayed edges of the paper and give them that crisp look you are looking for. Check out these before and after pictures.

WhooHoo! A New Demo!

Today we get two postings because I have to share with you the exciting news! Ashley Romo has joined the Stampin Up Family! She is our newest Demonstrator! I am so excited for her. Ashley is my cousin and a great Stamper. She even has her own blog where she makes and sells adorable cards. Click HERE to shop now. When I saw that Ashley had started her own blog I suggested to her that she become a demonstrator so that she could buy her supplies at a discount. With the new $75 (only good for the month of May) Starter Kit it was a simple decision for her. We will have to wait and see if Ashley wants to become a full time demonstrator and host parties and classes as well (which I think she will be great at!) or if she wants to just use her demonstrator status to support her card business. Each of us has a different reason or goal in becoming a demonstrator. For me it was wanting to share what I love and meet new ladies with the same hobby as myself. If you are more like Ashley and want to take advantage of the great new $75 starter kit let me know. What do you have to loose? Congrats Ash!
Color Challenge #51

I really like the colors in this week's Color challenge. I tried to think about what they reminded me of and what comes to mind for me is a romantic, tropical summer night. So that's what I went off of. I looked and my Rub-ons and found the cute little flamingos and thought that they were perfect. I colored them in with my Aqua painter using Rose Red and More Mustard Ink. I matted the flamingos with Rose Red and Chocolate Chip. I added a strip of textured Whisper White Card Stock across the More Mustard card base. Then I stamped one heart from the "It's a loop thing" Stamp set in Rose Red. I add the "Birds of a feather" sentiment which is also a Rub-on and a bit of Chocolate Chip ribbon. Check out some of the other entries by clicking HERE.

Wonderful Couple
Today's card is a card I made for my mom to take to a wedding she is attending this weekend. I don't know much about the bride and groom so all I am going off of is their invitation. Their invitation was cream and brown and had a real clean and simple look to it. I decided to go with the same colors. I took this picture at night and I know you can't see the detail in the card so I will try to explain it to you. The card base is Very Vanilla. Then I added the Chocolate Chip DSP from the Bella Rose DSP packet to the front of the card as a matte. Then I wrapped a band of 5/8" Chocolate Chip Ribbon around the DSP. I punched two of the Top Note Dies: one in Chocolate Chip and one in Very Vanilla. I cut the rim off of the Very Vanilla Top Note and attached it to the top of the Chocolate Chip Top Note. I added the "to a wonderful couple" sentiment using my "Wonderful Favorites" Stamp set. I also added the leaves from the "A Great Friend" Stamp set and one of my Big Shot "Lovely Leaves." To finish the card I added a felt flower and a brad to hold it in place. Hope my mom likes it and I hope the happy couple does too!

Mother's Day Gift By Mail
Here is my last Mother's Day card that I have to post. I actually made four of these for all my Grandmas. I am really proud of how they came out. They are pocket cards made with Baja Breeze and "A Walk in the Park "DSP. Inside the pocket I put a pull-out card that reads "for you" and has the leaves from the "A Great Friend" Stamp set. I also included a small gift: a bookmark for their summer reading. I thought that this was a nice and easy little something for them to hang on to and they will know that I love them while they are lost in their favorite book. I hope they like these. They were really fun to make. I even made one for myself. Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow!

From the Kitchen
Do you know someone that is under the weather, or just had a baby, or maybe your husband told you (with little notice) that he needs a big pot of Chile Verde for his office's Cinco De Mayo party? It's really nice to make a special dish or treat for someone you love to let them know that you care. Send a little card along with it. With the help of the "From the Kitchen of" Stamp set I made this criss cross card for my husband to display next to the crock pot of chile verde I made. I have to give credit for the recipe though, this recipe was given to me by good friend Kathy when I got married. My husband loves it! So today the criss cross card made of Pumpkin Pie card stock and Washington Apple DSP will let everyone know what is in the Chile Verde and how to make it themselves (if they like it.) I just love this stamp set. I think it is perfect for the holidays if you like to bake. What a cute way to let someone know that you not only made the meal yourself but that you also make adorable cards!

Perfect Fit
Awwww! Aren't these cute? This was one of the make and takes that we made at our last IMPRINTS meeting. I love these! Just imagine all the possibilities. I am thinking these would make a really cute treat holders at a Cinderella Birthday Party, or (like Beverlee suggested) a Witch's shoe at Halloween, or maybe a Bridal shower favor holder as well. These little cuties are much simpler than they look. Just a piece of DSP(or acetate for Cinderella) and a bit of Tombo glue and there you have it. If you would like to learn how to make these little guys let me know. I would love to DEMO it at your next party! Thanks for the great project Beverlee, I love these!Have a great day everyone!

Family Favorite
I made this card for my cousin back in Oklahoma. I miss her so much! She is really good about sending me pictures of her little guy. So I made her this card so I can send her a few pics of my girls. This was a no-stampin' card, which I don't do all that often. But what can I say, I love the Rub-ons. This particular card was made with only two colors as well. I used Chocolate Chip and Whisper White Card Stock. The Rub-ons are from the Loop to Loop Set in the Level 3 Hostess set "Hand Drawn Bundle." I used the Chocolate Chip Rub-ons for the little owl and then switched to the White Rub-ons for the "Family" sentiment. I added a bit of the new Whisper White Satin Ribbon from the Occasions Mini and a Felt Flower with a Clear Rhinestone brad to finish the card. I hope my cousin likes it. Have a great day!
