This project I used as Christmas presents for the moms in my family. It is a really simple handmade picture holder or frame. All you need is a few of those cardboard coasters. You can buy a packet of them at any beverage store like BevMo or Pier One Imports. You also get them for free at restaurants like Chilli's. In this example I used three pictures (I am the picture on the left, followed by Ava the Sammie). Using my grid paper, I lined up my three coasters on the bottom line then I spaced each coaster by one row on the grid paper. Then I put down a bit of the 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon. I attached it with my glue stick. Then I cut down the(now retired) Junior Varsity DSP to fit the coasters exactly. Using the corner rounder makes it a perfect fit. I then added a strip of the same DSP in a different pattern to each coaster to dress it up a bit. I matted each picture with Chocolate Chip Card Stock then I snailed them down to the coaster. To finish I added each of our initials using my favorite alphabet set: Lovely Letters. The additional ribbon knot was with the Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon. The ribbon holding the coaster together helps the three coasters to stand up on their own. This project looks really cute sitting on my bookshelf.
