Simple Thank Yous

I love this paper. I am so sad to see it go (in just a week and a half.) I think it is my most favorite DSP, ever. Seriously. But I am getting my use out of it this week for sure. First, on our Spring Banner class and now on these.

These are the few simple birthday thank yous Sammie is sending out from her birthday. So now, the cards are made, Sammie signed them and I just need to send them out. I will try to accomplish that last part today.

Okay, gotta go. Hope you have a great day!

McMurray Wedding

One of my cousins is getting married and she enlisted my help with the invitations. I was thrilled to help. Nervous, but thrilled. This is my first wedding set and to tell you the truth I had no idea what I was doing. But she trusted me.

Luckily, I do have another cousin who is an expert in this area. So I enlisted some of her help on layouts and wording. Thanks, Ash! Be sure to hop on over to her blog to see her beautiful work.

I was very please with them in the end and so was my cousin.

So there you have it. My first wedding ensemble, hopefully with more to come. Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow!

Top O' the Mornin' to You...

So, is everyone cooking their Corned Beef and Cabbage this morning? Drinking Green Beer? Cleaning up all the mischief the Leprechauns left around your house, just to mess with your kiddos? Okay, to tell you the truth St. Patrick's Day totally snuck up on me this year. I didn't even get a chance to make goodies for the girls school (GASP!!) I know, I know. I cant believe it myself. shame.

Luckily, I have a friend who was on top of things. And she even knew what day St. Patrick's Day was (and it wasn't Thursday, like I thought it was.) Apparently, the girls school celebrated on Thursday and I forgot to dress them in green that day (sorry girls) and that was the start of all my confusion.

Anyway, Charlette made me this perfect card and I wanted to share with you. I love how clean and simple it is. Just perfect. Now do me a favor, and hop on over to Charlette's blog and say hi to her:

Ahhhhh, Home Again!

Well, we are home again from vacation. I am a little mixture of happy and sad. Happy to be in my comfy home again but totally sad its over. We spent the last week in the Mexican Riviera on the Disney Cruise. It. Was. Awesome!

Characters galore. Jack Sparrow was even there, and Sammie LOVED him (so did mommy;))

There is just too much to share. It was non-stop fun. If anyone else has done the Disney cruise before you know what I mean. But our biggest weakness was the souvenirs. We are suckers for souvenirs. Well actually, Brandon is a sucker for anything those baby girls want! I cant leave him alone with them for a second! Or they come back with this..........

Just about anything and everything they want. He's such a softie! Anyhoo, I love that side of him. Big, huge love and hugs go to him for taking us on this amazing trip.

Okay, just give me a bit and I will get back into stampin mode. I have been completely unplugged for 8 days and I feel like I have to learn it all over again (it was pretty nice.) But today I will try to return those emails ( I haven't been ignoring you, promise) and prep for upcoming classes.

I also have to try and catch my barrings. I still feel like my living room is on high seas. I am a first time cruiser, is that normal??? Where's my Damamine!

For Ms. Gail

Seriously, birthday central around here, huh? Here is another one. This one went to our very loved Ms. Gail. She is Ava and Sam's preschool teacher and she is so wonderful. She is everything you want in a preschool teacher. So of course, we wanted to make her feel special on her birthday too. This is the card that we gave to her, along with a special gift.

The card layout is a case of a card found in our mini. Did you recognize it? So simple and so pretty. I think this is my current favorite stamp set at the moment too.

Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow!!

Camp Card

Remember this? I was one of the card winners at Leadership but at the time I couldn't share the card with you. At least I couldn't show it up close. I can now. It was the card I demo'ed at our past stamp camp and now that camp is over I can show you the card.

Now this card is a slightly simplified version of the card, but same idea. On my card contest entry I added a bit of the ruffled ribbon and some Dazzling Details for extra sparkle.

That's it. Thanks for stopping by today. See back here tomorrow!

Notepad Holder Tutorial

Tutorial for you today! Thank you so much for the comments on my blog and emails I received asking how to do these. I am glad you liked them. Here you go:

***Oops! I say the starting measurement wrong. Its not a 8 1/2"X11" square (that wouldn't even be a square. duh!) its a 8 1/2 "X 8 1/2 "square. Sorry

Measurements:

8 1/2" X 8 1/2" Square
score @ 3" on one side
and score @ 3 1/4", 3 3/4", 7", 7 1/2"

Enjoy! Let me know how they turn out.

For Ava

Remember me promising you that I would show you the fabulous card and gift my friend Chan made for Ava. Oops. I totally forgot to post it. But better late than never. Here it is. This was the amazing card she made her. Ava loved this card so much! She actually hugged the card and said, "this is the most beautiful card, ever!" Ouch!! That kinda hurt. But I get it. I totally get it;) It really is.

And as if the card wasn't enough? This was her gift. The box alone is beautiful and Ava keeps it in her room now.

Esh, blurry picture. But Chan gave her this cute tank and made her a bubblegum necklace. It was so sweet. She loved it and wore it everywhere we went. But I think it smelled too yummy to her because she kept licking in. heehee. By the end of the day, her shirt was all pick and the gum was all sticky and slightly nibbled. She loved it.

Thank you so much, Chan!

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Happy Birthday, Hubby! March is seriously birthday central around here. But today is Brandon's day. Here is the simple birthday card I made him. The picture is sorta hard to see but I was playing with Self Adhesive Sheets, again.

These are so fun. Just punch a bunch of fun shapes and glitter away. Not sure how crazy he is about glitter, but I am;)

Okay, can I brag for a sec?? Look at this hottie! Doesn't he look good? Watch it, ladies! He's totally taken.

Anyway, this picture of him looking "all tour pro and all" was in the Stockton Record the other day along with an article about the Stockton City tournament he played in. The caption under the photo read," Stockton's Brandon Toll watches his ball land on the 18th green to set up an eagle putt in the final round of the Stockton City 4-Ball Championship at The Reserve at Spanos Park. Toll and partner Mark Hill finished third"

Now, for those of you that don't know golf, third in that tournament is really good, not to mention the shot he hit. Its pretty impressive. So to say the least, I am proud of him. And you couldn't even imagine how thrilled the girls were to see Daddy in the newspaper! Its was so cute.

So, that's it. And I get to spend the day with him all day today. Whoo hoo!!

Happy Birthday, Ash

Yesterday was also the birthday of my cousin Ashley. She shares the same special day as Sammie. This is the card I sent of to her. I didn't forget you Ash! I promise. I hope you had a really special day.

This color combo and card layout is a little bit of a case of a Heather Klump card I loved. I changed mine up a bit only because I was doing it from memory. Her card was beautiful, as are all her creations. But I didn't have the right ribbon so I changed that too. But I love the brightness of the colors combo together.

Hope you like the card Ash! Talk to you soon.

Happy Birthday, to my baby!

Four years ago today (yes, I said FOUR! sniff. tear) my life was blessed with a second little angel. It was Samantha Rae that made our family complete. She will always be our baby, even when she is grown. But boy, how she has changed over the years. Sometimes I still wander through the baby section and think those adorable 12 month dresses with fit her. But they wont, and it breaks my heart, but she is growing and changing into this perfect little girl.

Yep, that's her. My little goof-ball. She is the perfect combo of "pure sweetness" and "Spit fire." She is all loves and cuddles until you cross her. Then, she will take you down! I love that about her. Don't mess with this pint sized princess. She is a tough-ie too.

And funny, and witty. Way beyond her years. Case and point:

Let me share a little Sammie conversation with you. The other day Ava was sick and wanted a cough drop. Here is how the conversation went:

Mommy: I'm sorry Ava, I cant give you another one. You already had one.
Sammie: Well Mommy, just give it to me and I will give it to Ava

Mommy: No Sammie, that's not what I mean. I cant give her too many because she could get sick

Sammie: Well, she's already sick so I don't think you have to worry about it.

Welcome to my world;) Is that the logic of a three year old?? er, uh four year old??

Happy birthday, princess. We love you so much.

Now on to the card. Here is the little card I made for her. Today we are off to our first horse-back ridding lesson. So I wanted something cowgirl-ish and rustic.

Thanks for stopping by today. Now I got to go love on my birthday girl. See you back here tomorrow!
